SocialBro known issues: “Twitter API is busy, please try again later” and lists management

Yesterday we send a survey about SocialBro to our community with the aim of improving our app. A couple of users have informed us that they are having some recurring problems that we consider relevant to do some comments about them.

Twitter API is busy, please try again later

For some reason that we’re still investigating, some user are getting recurrently the error message “Twitter API is busy, please try again later”. Another symptom which has the same solution is when the user can’t moving forward from the “Add Twitter Account” screen.

We are working to find a definitive solution for these problems. However, there is a temporary solution that is to remove SocialBro local settings, which means to remove all files from the following folder (the route is different for each operating system):

Windows7 and Vista:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\AIR\ELS\com.socialbro.air

Windows XP Spanish:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Datos de programa\Adobe\AIR\ELS\com.socialbro.air

Windows XP English:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Adobe\AIR\ELS\com.socialbro.air

Mac OS and Linux
/Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/com.socialbro.air

Don't forget to replace USERNAME for your operative system username.

Lists management
[UPDATED July 29th, 2011 - This bug is solved with 0.2.4 version]

Another error is concerning to the Twitter lists management. We have studied the issue and concluded that failure occurs only when the name of the list has some white-space. We are analyzing the best way to solve the problem, but one suggestion is that future lists created have no white-space in its name while we're fixing the problem.

If you have any problem with SocialBro please give us your feedback in http://socialbro.uservoice.com. It is very important to us!
